Located at the centre ofOrtigia Island in the old Jewish area of Giudecca, Casa Sophia is a traditional Sicilian two-floor house  with a sunny terrace overlooking the rooftops of Ortigia. Always related to art, this house was the home of a famous Sicilian painter at the beginning of last century,  it was later inhabited by a restorer and nowadays is owned by a theatre director.

Casa Sophia is recommended to guests looking for an original, exclusive and chaos-free environment. It is bright and located in a quaint alley, it consists of a large bedroom with a vaulted ceiling and a typical small balcony overlooking the alley, a living room with a large comfortable sofa bed, a bathroom and a kitchen with a dining area overlooking a courtyard. The flooring of the house dates back to the early 1900s.
The terrace, perfect for lunches and dinners, is furnished with a table, some chairs and a sunshade.

With all its facilities, Casa Sophia can accommodate up to 4 people and its location allows to reach to the major sites with historical value in a few minutes walk. Located approximately 200 metres away from the sea, it is extremely close to the beautiful Church of St. John the Baptist, known as “San Giovannello” , the old Jewish baths, the Puppet theatre, bars, shops, restaurants, the shuttle stop, a supermarket, a bakery and the wonderful Piazza Duomo, which is a few metres away. It must be rent for at least three days.
